Product Description

Theme: A Brief History Of The World the board game is a civilisation board game that takes players through the history of mankind in only a few hours. The board game features over 50 Empires from the dawn of civilisation to the 20th century.

Among the many civilisations featured in A Brief History of the World are Egypt, Assyria, Persia, Greece, Rome, the Huns and Mongols, the Arabs and the Ottoman Turks, the dynasties of China and kingdoms of India, Incas and Aztecs, Portugal and Spain, France, Britain and Germany.

You'll take turns taking as the various great leaders to lead your people to the epoch of their civilisation in this A Brief History of the World.

Gameplay: A Brief History of the World is a remake of the popular Avalon Hill game of A History of the World. Revised rules make the game go faster, with fewer (61) territory locations and adjusted rules on the number of armies and how combat is resolved.

Play is conducted over 6 epoch's (rounds) where players receive a new Empire each epoch. The player who came last in the previous turn receives first choice of each Empire, while the player who chooses last receives first choice of the Event cards.

In A Brief History of the World, players start with their empires and expand outwards, doing so mostly via invading other territories. In a revision of normal combat rules, while dice resolve invasions - repeated invasions add bonuses for the invading player. In addition, 'overruns' of territories can be used to invade multiple territories with same roll.

This makes A Brief History of the World faster to play, with players scoring points (gold) at the end of each Epoch for their current and previous existing empires. In the end, the player with the most success at controlling his six (6) Empires will A Brief History of the World.
