Alexander the Great

Theme: In Alexander the Great, players follow in the footsteps of the great Macedonian King, competing to conquer the known world. At the same time, players must build and develop the territories that they have conquered to leave a lasting legacy.

Gameplay: In Alexander the Great, players vie to control the 5 territories represented on the game board. Each turn, players distribute their 15 counters in one of 4 ways - turn order, army size, temple building and city building. Depending on the number of counters distributed, players will decide on turn orders and the resources that they deploy to build their army or focus on temple or city building. As players compete to have the largest force in each area, the initial distribution of counters is very important. In this way, players move from region to region, attempting to score points and find the least competitive areas as counters that are not competed with carry over to the next round. This game is a mixture of planning, player understanding and bluffing based on territorial control.
