Theme : Arkham Horror is the reprint of the original Call of Cthulhu board game. And like all old classics, it is great fun. Not a game for the faint of heart, players join together as a band of intrepid investigators, attempting to understand the strange going-on's in the city of Arkham and head off the horrible fate awaiting the town and world.

Drawn from the rich imagery of H.P. Lovecraft, Arkham Horror is a race against time to seal the gates to bar the Ancient One from returning. If they fail, it will come down to one last-pitch battle to save humanity.

Gameplay : Arkham Horror is a fun, immersive co-operative board game where players are occult investigators who have been drawn to the city of Arkham. The players must work together to seal the dimensinoal gates, collecting clues and equipment as they journey through the town to stop the rise of an Ancient One.

Failing that, if the Doom Track reaches its goal, all the Gates will burst open and the Ancient One will rise, forcing the players into a last ditch battle for the fate of humanity.

Unfortunately, each turn new calamities await, from dimensional monsters to new gates and the investigators will have to risk their sanitty and lives to bring peace to the town.

A highly thematic board game, Arkham Horror is one of Fantasy Flight's perennial favourites.
