Theme : In Bean Trader, players take the roles of farmers and bean traders in the middle ages in Europe. As a member of the famous Bohn Hanse, the union of northern European cities and merchants, players are involved in the lucrative trade of beans. You will need to travel from city to city, wagons filled with popular beans in search of profit and beans in this business game based on the award-winning card game of Bohnanza.

Gameplay : In Bean Trader, players move their wagons from city to city delivering bean orders and purchasing more beans for the next town.

Players fulfill orders for a city using order cards from their hands, drawing thalers (money) from the bank every time they fulfill an order. When two players are in the same city, they may trade beans to acquire the necessary beans for the cards in their hands.

During the game, 8 harvests will occur with the bean supplies replenished at each harvest. At the end of the eight harvest, the game begins its last round and the player with the most money (thalers) wins.
