Product Description

Theme : Carcassonne : Abbey & Mayor introduces even new possibilities to the base Carcassonne game. As with all expansions for Carcassonne, Abbey & Mayor consists of multiple mini-expansions that can be added as whole or singularly to make the game more interesting.

Gameplay : In Abbey and Mayor, players now have four mini-expansions to add to the game :

Wagons are placed on incomplete roads, cities or cloisters and once these features are scored, can move along the roads to the next uncompleted feature to allow players to continue scoring these features without placing another piece down.
Mayors now come into play in cities of sufficient size, their strength equal to the number of pennants available in each city.
Abbeys are produced by monks, allowing players to fill in gaps in hard to complete features as these Abbeys may be placed in any location with at least 4 tiles connected to them (but do not need to match). Additionally, the Abbey's will score like Cloisters.
Lastly, the Barn allows a farmer to be scored straight away when a Barn is played, returning the meeple to the player. Furthermore, the Barn will score again at the end of the game, providing a field with twice the scoring bonus.
