Theme: In Alhambra, you are in charge of building a new city for your people and they are counting on you to create a prosperous place to live. You will need to build manors to house your people, towers to defend your city, and gardens to beautify it. Unfortunately, each type of building is built by a specific nationality, so you will need to collect the currency of that nationality to pay the builders. Alhambra is a complex game of city building and tile placement that is sure to thrill.
Gameplay: Each turn you collect money in one of the four different currencies - blue denars, green dirhams, brown ducats, and yellow florins. You then use the currency to purchase buildings (a tile) to be built from the marketplace. Each building can then be placed on your reserve board, added to Alhambra or used to replace an existing building in Alhambra. In addition, there's a tile-laying element involved in the development of these buildings in Alhambra itself. With only three scoring rounds, careful planning of the space and money that you have is a must.
