Theme : Chrononauts, is a game of fast moving time-travel. Players are all time-travelers from the future who have a secret goal of returning to their timeline. You can change time, steal artifacts and masterpieces and visit the future, but you'll need to be careful as all the other time-travelers are affecting the timeline themselves and the universe can only hold so many paradoxes
This is the new 2009 Edition.
Gameplay : In Chrononauts, a timeline of events from our own history is laid out. Starting from the assassination of Lincoln to the Columbine massacre, events are either linchpins or ripple points. Change a linchpin event and the ripple points change, creating a paradox that must be fixed.
Players are time-travelers from a different timeline who have 3 potential winning conditions - recreate their timeline to allow them to go home, acquire 3 artifacts for their backers or heal the timeline sufficiently to gain 10 cards.
Each turn, players draw a card and may play a card from their hand or draw another. Cards can be artifacts drawn from the timeline, action cards to affect other players and timeline cards that affect the timeline.
Chrononauts is a fast playing card game of time travel that plays as well with one person as six, creating a unique game-playing opportunity.
