By banding together, these cities would repel various outside invaders, but in peace they competed with each other to become the greatest city in Italy. Can you balance the needs of the common defense with your own ambition to reach the pinnacle of development?
To be victorious, you will need to balance your military, commercial, religious, and cultural development. You will need to keep an eye on developing invasions, and the plots of the other comuni. The tense conflict for domination is not for the faint of heart!
Comuni includes a game board, 120 cards, more than 275 wooden playing pieces, 5 player screens, and an illustrated rulebook in English, French, and German.
Comuni was designed by the veteran team of Italian designers known as Acchitocca. They appeared on the scene in 2006 with the widely successful Leonardo da Vinci. Comuni is the third published game from this talented group.
