Espana 1936

Theme: Espana 1936 (ESPAÑA 1936) is a war game that recreates the Spanish Civil War just before World War 2 (1936-39).

Players take on the roles of either the Nationalist or Republican armies of Spain and attempt to take over specific, key cities to gain victory.

Gameplay: Espana 1936 is played on a game board depicting Spain with various connected zones; each of which will have counters at the operational level.

Cards are used to develop the events of the war and to modify decisive battles. Each turn, players must move their forces, deploy support units and generals, play event and battle cards, bring in new reinforcements and attempt to capture various objective cities. Victory in Espana 1936 can be achieved in a number of ways, but the objective cities are the key to the game.
