The Formula D Expansion 1 - Sebring & Chicago provides new tracks and new locations to race in.
Located on the site of a former military training base converted into an aerodrome, the Sebring raceway in Florida has been a firm fixture on the American racing calendar since 1950. It is the setting each year for the 12 Hours of Sebring endurance race, considered by those involved to be the best training available for the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. This endurance track, with its slightly uneven surface, provides drivers with the chance to test their vehicles’ durability in the hot, dry Florida climate.
The Chicago East Park street racing circuit, on the other hand, is an urban track switching back and forth between bends and straights. This devilish track in the middle of city traffic takes the drivers past the impressive Aon Center, one of the tallest skyscrapers in the city, through Lake Shore East Park with its three criss-crossing chicanes, then at high speed by the port before finally crossing two vertigo-inducing bridges.
Within the East Park section you will be required to stop whilst at the same time avoiding ending your movement alongside a competitor: failure to do so can cost you Road Handling or Body WPs. You will also need to overcome the Leap of Death, a dangerous spot where you have to cross an unfinished bridge. Be careful - you don’t want to fall onto the barge passing underneath!
