Product Description
Theme: In Galaxy's Edge, you are an interpid explorer on his flagship, moving among the great galactic superpowers and attempting to colonise, claim and construct bases on the edge of the galaxy.
You'll move through star system after star system, colonising and building bases on hospitable star systems and attempting to gain the approval of the various galactic races. The player who manages to both claim the most number of star systems and manage his relations with the galactic superpowers the best will win Galaxy's Edge.
Gameplay: In Galaxy's Edge, players have four actions each turn. They may build colonies or bases in each solar system next to their flagship or an existing colony or base. During the construction, players will determine the events that occur in the solar system through their presence via die roll, sometimes closing the sector off to additional construction and other times allowing the play of Event cards.
In addition, military control of a sector can be gained via the presence of military bases (which do not allow scoring); thus adding a strategic element of placement of bases and colonies in Galaxy's Edge.
The five unique alien races of Galaxy's Edge aid in scoring as well, each promoting their specific philosophies. Obtaining—and keeping—alien loyalties will be an important factor in determining a winner, and the diverse Event cards can be used to further your goals in a number of ways.
