Theme : Gangster is a game of the mob in their heyday of 1920's Chicago. Prohibition has led to the flourishing of t he underworld in Chicago, driving competition to the extreme as players compete for control over each district.
Gather up your boys, hop in the sedan, and see if you have the skill, the cunning, and the ruthlessness to become Chicago's top Gangster!
Gameplay : Gangster is an area control game where players move across ten randomly created regions, dropping off and picking up their six gangsters. Players in gangster may also 'pick up' other players gangsters in the trunk of their car; to either deposit in another region or kill off in Lake Michigan. There are 3 rounds in Gangster (representing the 3 days the game covers), with points scored at the end of each round after eight (8) "doubler" tokens are placed. The number of points given to the first, second, third, etc players in each region varies, with potentially the second or third most number of gangsters having more points in that region. As such, it becomes important to understand where and how to move your opponents gangsters and your own, along with the appropriate uses of the 'upgrade' cards.
