Theme : GIPF is an abstract game for two players. Each player takes turns adding one piece to the board until they achieve four-in-a-row. Players may then remove the row and capture any of their opponents pieces which extend that row beyond hte four.
The purpose of GIPF is to continue creating successive rows of four (4) pieces until there are no longer pieces to play. GIPF is part of the original GIPF series of abstract strategy games.
