Each turn you have the opportunity to spread your influence among the many historically based courtiers, using their favor to carry out your missions and political goals. Each mission you accomplish brings you greater influence, greater wealth and greater power. The player with the most royal favor at the end of the game is the victor.
Gameplay : Louis XIV is an advanced strategic board game where players spend their influence counters in order each turn to influence the various courtiers of the King. Each courtier has a specific gift to grant with varying winning conditions. Louis the XIV is a game of constant tactical planning as your initial influence plans are altered by other players actions. Definitely a game with a high level of interaction and options, it is not meant for beginning players.
