Theme : Modern Art places you in the role of a art gallery owner, buying and selling the works of 5 artists. This award winning game by Reiner Knizia has been redesigned and reissued due to high demand. The gallery owner with the most money at the end of game is the winner of Modern Art.
Gameplay : As art dealers in Modern Art, you compete with fellow dealers to bid up the price of the works of one of five (5) artists with the goal of ensuring your collection and the artist you support is the most acclaimed (and thus expensive). Players will need to balance the need to expand their personal collections to win the game with generating revenue by buying and selling other works of art.
An easy to learn auction game with multiple strategies, this is a game that is fraught with tension right to the very end as players are not privy to other art dealer's collections in Modern Art.
