Theme : Dark Tales is the expansion to the hilarious storytelling game Once Upon A Time. In Dark Tales, 56 new cards are added to the game, providing a darker twist to the familiar stories with the introduction of trolls, wraiths, lost loves and evil stepmothers in stews. These cards let you tell those Fairy Tales as they were really told before the Brothers Grimm cleaned them up. A fitting expansion to the popular game, providing a new twist to this popular franchise.
This is an expansion set on the basic game and cannot be played alone.
Gameplay : In Once Upon a Time, players must weave together a coherent story from the named cards provided to them. Introducing each named feature/character/item/etc. to the game, players work towards a final ending.
With the Dark Tales expansion, players now must weave the darker elements of the original Fairy Tales into their stories, adding new cards and elements to this game of co-operative storytelling.
