Theme : Power Grid : Factory Manager is a stand-alone board game based on the popular Power Grid series. Instead of building multiple power stations, in Power Grid : Factory Manager, players are now in charge of a single power station and must work to optimise its efficiency as much as possible. The player who manages to do so the best wins the game.
Gameplay: In Power Grid : Factory Manager, each player owns a factory and must optimise its production of energy to earn the most money before the end of the game.
A combined worker placement and auction / bidding game, Power Grid : Factory Manager has players using their workers to bid and pull machines and robots from the marketplace. They then must purchase these machines and place them in their factory, using their other workers to run these machines during that turn.
The players who can best manage both the amount of energy produced, their ability to store the energy and the use of their workers will win the game. Of course, as Power Grid : Factory Manager comes from the Power Grid series, the energy cost continues to rise each turn, forcing players to decide on the most efficient manner of producing even more energy.
