Ubongo involves using a placemat with a certain shape depicted. You roll a di to see which of the six columns (they will tell you three or four puzzle pieces you use to fill in the shape. Like making a puzzle with tetris pieces). The timer is then flipped and the first one to shout Ubongo has the most mobility on the board to collect the coloured gens (two per round if you are able to solve the puzzle). The object is to get the most gems of one colour.

Very fast game.Well thought out and designed, with multiple elements of placement, time restriction, movement and colour hoarding. As someone who's terrible with spatial relations, I did not do very well at it. However many others quite enjoy the game! (Posted on 11/28/11)
