Snow Tails is a lot of fun as a racing game, with an innovative movement mechanic that works well with its theme. Players receive a series of cards in their hand, allowing them to play the cards onto their sled into the right or left dog traces or the brakes. The combined 'pull' of the dogs minus the brake dictates the movement of the sled each turn, with the difference in pull between the dogs the drift.

This movement mechanic and the forced hand management it creates makes Snow Tails quite a fun racing game. In addition, the use of Trees, curves and damage cards to the sled adds a new tension to the game.

Definitely one of the better racing games out there, Snow Tails is fun for gamers and non-gamers alike. (Posted on 8/5/10)
