This is the second base set for Heroscape. It contain terrain pieces and new units. Whit those you can wage war on another player by selecting units using a point system. Building the battlefield is a very fun part of this game. You can use the missions included in the base set or just make your own. This set is relatively smaller than the previous one, but still as a few surprises. They are two clear side in this set, the Marro and the rests of the heroes.Price Value Quality
All in all, this a smart and fun little games. You get a lot of plastic for the price you pay. The biggest and funnest part of this game is the customization of this product. You can add more army or more terrain in various expansions. (Posted on 12/16/10) - The Weakest Master Set Review by Murray

If you are looking for a Heroscape expansion, then Swarm of the Marrow is not too bad. However, if you are looking to get into Heroscape, I would recommend that you look at Master set 1 or 3 instead.Value Quality Price
There is something lackluster about this master set that makes it considerably less impressive than its sibling sets. When opening any other Heroscape master set or expansion, my eyes would grow wide and I would hold my breath for a half minute as I look over all the parts and pieces.
However, Swarm of the Marrow is very monotonous and mono-colored. Everything is bone colored and swampy. Unlike the other sets, there is no noteworthy or awesome character. Instead, there are several duplicate armies, which also lessens the overall impressiveness of the game.
Overall, the master set plays the same as any other set, but you will be less likely to take this one out to show off to your friends. I would recommend one of the other master sets instead for first time buyers. (Posted on 1/18/10) - Customizable Fun Review by Wasgo

Heroscape is a fantastic battle game with a ton of variety. By following the instruction booklet, it's possible to build numerous battlefields, varied scenarios and very different armies allowing for a huge range of different games.Price Value Quality
Swarm of the Marrow is the second version of the Master Set, one of which is required to play. Expansions come in the form of additional terrain and units. Personally, I'd recommend getting one of this set, and one of the other Master Set in order to build an even greater variety of battlefields. (Posted on 12/21/09)
