- Best 15 minutes of your head chopping life Review by Craig

This game is very simple and very short. That is what I love the most about this game. Sometimes you want to play a game, but you don't have hours to play. Out comes Guillotine. Because of the convenience I have played this game more then any other by far.Quality Price Value
Its funny, has a bit of spite, and has a small amount of strategy and a lot of random. I have yet to see a game that appeals to more types of people. I've seen eight year old kids, hardcore gamers, and even people who avoid board games like the plague fall in love with this game. Just don't take it too seriously. Its not worth losing a head over. I was very pleased with Guillotine given the price of the game and my expectation for quick card game.Price Value Quality
Guillotine is amenable to custom rules which append the game length. For a relatively simple, quick, and fun card game, this is a huge plus!
There is a large element of chance in this game, however the variation in types of action cards makes it such that, as a player, one feels like the direction of the game is in a great part determined by the choices the players make (in contrast to a game like Pirate Flux).
I imagine this game would be great for youngsters and my late-20's friends and I got a kick out of it, too. (Posted on 8/8/11) - A fun and light take-that card game. Review by Anthony Santiago

Guillotine is a game about scoring as many points as you can by sending nobles to the front of the line to be...well beheaded. You'll also try to get certain nobles (with negative points) to the front of the line for your opponent, in the hopes they will lose points.Value Quality Price
After placing 12 nobles in a row, players are dealt 5 action cards,
A person's turn consists of :
1) Playing an action card (optional)
2) Collect the first noble
3) Draw an action card
The cards allow various actions such as allowing a noble to skip ahead or behind in line. Once the 12 nobles have been... dealt with, a new day (or round) takes place. There are 3 days in the game, so it's a nice filler, as a game lasts no more than 20 minutes.
This is a fun and a bit of a chaotic game that can get to be quite cutthroat as players clamour for the higher point nobles. This is not a game where long-term strategy is not required as fortunes change rapidly from turn to turn, if that doesn't bother you, then this may be a good addition on your game shelf.
