Kahuna is a 2 player abstract strategy game that is simple to learn and fun to play.

The components are top notch with wooden bits, a nice sturdy board and a set of easy to read cards. It all comes in a beautiful small box, no over-packaging.

Two wizards are trying to take control of the islands- you do this by implementing bridges that are determined by the cards, the island becomes yours when you have majority (over half of bridges on that island). The tricky part is that the islands are interconnected, this is when strategy comes into play. You can also remove your opponent's bridges under certain conditions.

Overall, the game can be played very simply or as strategically as you want. I played with my 6yr old (he taught me Chess) with no problems and adults as well. I enjoyed this game and appreciated it's value for the money and compact size. (Posted on 4/15/10)
