I was introduced to munchkin via the original fantasy series.
I enjoy this version just as much as the orriginal and the expansions only add to the fun.

Of all the Munchkin series, I consider this one the best. It combines Munchkin's humor and game-play with the the mythology of Lovecraft's iconic stories. You play as investigators, monster whackers, professors, or even cultists. Kill the monsters, grab the loot, and backstab your friends in Munchkiny goodness.

The game currently has the 2nd most expansions for any of the Munchkin series (the original has the most). There are three expansions which add Madness, Phobia, and Portal cards to the decks. They add a lot to the game I highly recommend picking them up if you like Munchkin Cthulhu.

If you enjoy the Munchkin series and you don't have any of the other games, I strongly recommend this if you are looking to diversify. If you have several of the other games (Star Munchkin, Munchkin, Munchkin Fu, Super Munchkin, etc., etc.) like I do, you may want to consider whether or not you need another game.

If you have played Munchkin and do not like it, I wouldn't bother with this one. The Cthulhu flavor probably will not turn you into a Munchkin fan. (Posted on 11/5/10)

The name of the game say it all! It is the good old munchkin game but with a taste of unspeakable evil. In this game you must kill the monsters claim the loot and backstab your friends.

The cthulu theming brings a few ideas to this card game but not enought to say that it is a different game from munchkin. The same illustration style as previous incarnations of the game the same humour but with a distinc H.P. Lovecraft inspiration.

If you like Lovecraft in find Munchkin fun then this is for you. If you have all other form of munchkin then this is for you. But if your not sure about munchkin then dont bother. (Posted on 4/3/10)
