This is another game in the line of a good strategy will win over luck. A game where you build up your palaces and followers in order to gain the most victory points, but alas there is a hitch, there are multiple turns of getting hit with disasters and setbacks to take away what you have already gained.

As with most games it is better to play with more players, this is true with in the year of the dragon. With 2 you only have one other player to worry about and can stop that person from gaining what they need to survive an event. With multiple people it creates a better dynamic that will make you go to “plan B” a little more often.

There are many aspects to the game and it changes each game due to the random events set out at the beginning of the game. This game is recommended with 3-5 people the more people the more intrigue. (Posted on 9/27/10)
