This highly strategic economic game is a ton of fun! The method that you develop your resource production is unique and varies greatly depending on which resource(s) you choose. Tile placement can be quite challenging especially in the one 5 player game I played. This game took significantly longer than I expected (4 1/2 hours) but I never lost interest. 4 player games are shorter but not by much unless you add the barriers which come with the War Clouds expansion. I highly recommend this game.
I also bought the two expansions which add their own flair to the game but I still like the basic game the best. Playing with the second edition rules which come in the War Clouds expansion is the best way to go for game balance however. I also like the player mats included in that expansion. (Posted on 9/23/11)
