The Princess Bride board game is really for fans only. The gameplay is very simple, with players drawing cards and then playing them to overcome the 'obstacles' of their specific journey. Players have to have the right cards to overcome obstacles, so while it requires a little hand management, there's never really enough choices to make it a truly strategic game. In addition, the lack of quotes (only pictures) on the cards is a let down - after all, it is a Princess Bride game. There should be quotes!

Overall, it's a simple filler and while I'd not be opposed to playing it if there's nothing else out there, there are a ton of great games that are just better at this price range. (Posted on 8/5/10)
