This is a wonderful expansion to the base game called War of the Ring. It adds new elements like additional characters and cards which help to flesh out the realm of Middle Earth.

It also comes with scenarios to re-enact the famous battles of Minas Tirith and Rohan on boards that zoom into those specific areas. As the shadow player you will have access to trebuchets and seige engines with which to bring down the defenses of Minas Tirith. As the Free Peoples player you co-ordinate your attack with the Ents and bring down Saruman from his tower.

It's just an awesome expansion that displays game design at it's best and prevents the War of the Ring from stagnating. With 77 new plastic figures you can't go wrong.
