Product Description
Theme : The world is at war in Risk. In the classic war game, you must lead your armies, taking control of continents to build up your armies to resist attack.
This is a reprint of the classic 1959 Risk edition of the game with the design of the original Risk pieces and board used.
Gameplay: In Risk 1959; players take control of one of of six armies. Players then take control of the various countries depicted on the map using a variety of choosing methods. The most common being randomly dealt cards depicting each country or country picks by turn.
Once all domains have been chosen in Risk, players then take their turns, receiving new armies for the number of countries and complete continents that they control. They must then wage war against their opponents in Risk to gain control of new territories. Combat is resolved via opposing dice rolls.
The gameplay and strategy of risk comes from the deals made between players, the choice of which continents and countries to attack and the careful use of the country cards that can provide additional armies at opportune moments. Will you risk it all to win or are your strategies more careful and deliberate?
