The 4th Edition of Settlers comes with nineteen (19) new redesigned land hexes with unique artwork on each hex and an interlocking sea board. Furthermore, the game comes with an insert tray that will fit all your basic components and the 5 & 6 player expansion.

Gameplay : Settlers of Catan uses a modular game board, with the board consisting of cardboard hexes which are shuffled at the beginning of each game. The land hexes are then laid out into a hexagonal pattern to create the new land of Catan.

At the beginning of each game, players decide on which lands they will build their settlements on with each land type (forest, pasture, mountains and fields) which each provide a different resource. Land hexes produce on a roll of a pair of dice, with each land hex provided a number ranging from 1 to 12. As such, the board and resources available are constantly changing from game to game.

Each turn, dice are rolled to determine which resources are produced and players must strategically trade and use these resources to win. Players compete to build roads, settlements and cities using these resources to gain Victory Points while the Settlers development deck provides a variety of additional events that will benefit the players. While Settlers of Catan can be learned within 10 minutes, the modular board gives the game a new flavor every time.
