Theme: The Silk Road was the trading route between the lands of Asia and Europe in the medieval period.
In Silk Road, players are the merchants who ply the trade route between Chang'an and Antioch, attempting to buy and sell the most profitable goods possible. Will you be able to make a profit by the time you finish your journey?
Gameplay: Silk Road is a trading based strategy game for 3-6 players. The goal is to trade along the historic Silk Route from Chang'an to Antioch. Players trade, buy, and sell along this historic trading route from Chang'an in the East to Antioch in the West.
On each turn, players must bribe the caravan leader to have him visit the cities they wish, where they might buy, sell or trade their goods.
Bribe the caravan leader sufficiently and you'll be able to sell your goods for the highest profit. But spend too much bribing him and you'll find yourself out of funds. Can you make the correct balance in Silk Road?
