Theme : Talisman - the classic dungeon crawler game is back. In Talisman, players take control of a myriad of characters - from minstrel to troll to dwarf to sorceress - to gain control of the Crown of Command. They must journey through the land, completing quests to gain strength and craft to be worthy of the Crown of Command. In the end, there can only be one true ruler, and all others will fall.

Gameplay : In Talisman, players journey through three stages of the game board, each section growing in danger and difficulty. Characters pick a starting character from two provided to him, then move around the board through a roll of a die.
They may decide to go clockwise or anti-clockwise as per the roll at any time, tackling quests, visiting towns and cities or even attacking other player characters.
The goal of Talisman is to gain sufficient strength to progress to the next stage, finally finding sufficient 'Talismans' to open and gain control of the Crown of Command and defeat all other player characters.

Talisman is a reprint of an old game. This is a good game for nostalgia purposes, but because it is a reprint of the original game many of the same flaws are there. Roll and move. Roll and fight. Wait. Roll and move. Roll and fight. Wait. Ad infintinum. Review by TR (Posted on 12/5/08)
