Theme: In The End of the Triumvirate, the final years of the first Roman Triumvirate are played out. Players take on the role of one of the famous leaders of Rome - Caesar, Pompeius, or Crassus in an attempt to dominate the Senate and thus, Rome.
Gameplay: In The End of the Triumvirate, players attempt to win one of three ways - politically, militarily or a 'competence' victory - having maxed out both political and military tracks.
In the game, the board is divided into three types of provinces - cash, military or competence provinces. To gain political support, you'll need to bribe the Senators while a military victory requires you to get all of your own governors on the board.
An epic, political game; End of the Triumvirate plays out in an hour or so and is high strategy and low luck.
