Product Description
Theme :Through the Ages allows you to play the role of a civilisation growing through the ages, changing leaders and monuments while progressing in its development of the sciences, religion, it's miltary forces and population. Will you guide your civilisation Through the Ages with wisdom? Or will you wage war against the others in an attempt to dominate the world. Only you can decide.
Gameplay: Through the Ages comes with rules for three different difficulty levels - the Tutorial, Standard and Advanced Games. Each level adds additional complexity to the game, simulating greater and greater levels of the development of the civilised world.
In Throught the Ages, players control a single civilisation through five ages - the bronze age and Ages I to IV corresponding to the Ancient, Medieval / Rennaisance and Modern Age and the Future. After Age III is over, players receive one last turn (Age IV) at which point the player with the most points wins.
Gameplay occurs in turns with each player using their civilisation and military actions to spend resources to purchase 'developments' from the game board. These developments can then be used to enhance their civilisation, from new technological discoveries, new building types, more workers and additional military strength.
Players in Through the Ages must balance the development of powerful, long-lasting Wonders of the World, the scientific progress and the happiness of their civilisation and the necessary feeding and management of corruption in their civilisation. With numerous resources and areas to manage, Through the Ages is a complex, long-lasting simulation of the development of the civilized world.
