Theme : Ticket to Ride Marlin is the third installment in the award winning and highly popular Ticket to Ride series and is considered to be one of the most strategic installments in this series. With new tickets, passengers and wild cards, players must now compete to finish tickets and passengers to win this game.
Ticket to Ride Marklin is set in Germany and players must develop their rail lines across the country. Along with these, each train card is unique, providing new artwork drawn from the original Marklin toy trains.
Gameplay : Ticket to Ride Marklin is the third in the series and introduces a variety of new gameplay elements. The essential gameplay stays the same with players drawing tickets of varying colours to match the different coloured rail lines on the board. Once sufficient number of tickets are collected, players may build their tracks, scoring points for tracks built and destinations connected.
New game play elements in Ticket to Ride Marklin include: Passengers who can pick up point chits are introduced, providing a new way of gaining points while a new engine +4 card for use on longer routes is added to the deck. Lastly, destination cards are now split into long and short train routes, providing an additional strategic decision for players to make.
