Dominion (2nd Edition) Product Description
Note that this is the 2nd Edition of the game with new cards and new designs
Theme : Players in Dominion are monarchs of a small kingdom looking to expand their borders. All around them lie fiefs, freeholds and feodums, ruled by petty warlords - and it is under the player’s rule that civilisation will be brought. It is a time of change and domination, as other monarchs race to expand their kingdoms as well - hiring minions, constructing buildings and sprucing up castles all the while filling up their treasury. Will you in the end by the Monarch with the largest Dominion?
Dominion is a non-collectible card game that is a complete game in its entirety straight out of the box.
Gameplay : In Dominion, players start with an identical deck of cards that they must slowly customise. They do so by “buying” from a selection of ten cards placed in the center of the table using gold from their stores (drawn from the deck of cards they have). Each turn, they draw 5 cards from their deck, playing a single action card and purchasing another card (unless modified by the cards they have played).
As their deck runs out, they will reshuffle the newly bought cards in, thus ‘building’ their decks in Dominion as they continue the game.
In the end, players are racing for the highest path of efficiency by knowing the cards available to them to be bought and upcoming in their newly created decks.
